Rolex does not publish one global price list. What follows are the latest sourced United States retail figures we hold for every Rolex on the index. Each row has a date and a public source URL in our data file. List before sales tax, unless a source says otherwise.

How to read the numbers
Most rows come from rolex.com in the month shown. A few older points linger when we have not re-checked a page yet. The date is the honesty check. Rolex revises prices now and then, often yearly, so a June read can sit next to an October read on another model. That is our schedule, not a conspiracy.
Steel sports references on this table run roughly $10,050 to $16,900. Gold Day-Date is another world. Oyster Perpetual and Datejust fill the ground between fashion watches and the sports line.
List versus what people pay
At an Official Rolex Retailer, the tag is generally list plus local tax. On the secondary market, hot steel can clear above list; quieter references sit near or under. We only publish resale studies with a dated report. See the resale ranking and watches that appreciate.
Country comparison (Japan, EU, Switzerland, US and others) lives under Compare and on item pages when we have official shelf prices in more than one market.
Steel sports versus gold
On our 2026 US table, steel Professional and classic models cluster from the high six thousands (Oyster Perpetual) through the mid-teens (Sea-Dweller, Daytona). Yellow-gold Day-Date sits alone at the top of what we track. Rolex prices materials and complications separately. Gold moves with metal and brand positioning more than with the steel waiting list.
Inside steel, the Cosmograph Daytona leads the sports references we follow, ahead of Sky-Dweller and Sea-Dweller. Submariner Date and GMT-Master II sit closer. Both are tool watches with a long secondary-market habit, which is why list alone understates what some buyers pay outside the boutique.
How often do prices move?
Rolex does not publish a global calendar. Authorised channels see periodic list revisions; our dated reads on rolex.com are how we catch them. When two models show different months, we usually re-checked one page more recently than the other. Look at the source column on the item page for the exact URL.
Comparing a forum quote? Match currency, tax treatment and date. A 2024 European sticker is not a 2026 US list price.
Country comparison, briefly
For travellers, local shelf price plus VAT refund rules can matter more than the US list. We convert official shelf prices at ECB rates and estimate visitor prices after refunds on the compare page and on multi-country item pages. Japan’s tax-free process changes on 1 November 2026; details in Price Alert issue #1 if that is your trip. Country comparison is one tool here, not the whole site.
What we track (and skip)
Every Rolex reference currently in prices.json with a sourced US list point is in the table: Oyster Perpetual, Datejust, Submariner, GMT-Master II, Daytona, Sea-Dweller, Sky-Dweller, Day-Date and related variants we have verified. Limited editions, discontinued references without a fresh official read, and grey-market screenshots stay out until we can date a public source.
Missing a model you care about usually means we have not captured an official page yet, not that Rolex stopped making it. Send a dated official URL via the methodology page if you want it ingested.
Reading the Daytona row
Steel Daytona sits at the top of our demand ranking for a reason: list is high, wait lists are long, and secondary chatter is loud. The figure in the table is still a list figure from a dated read. It does not tell you what a grey dealer asks this week, and it does not tell you whether your local AD will sell you one.
If you care about that gap, treat list as the floor for authorised purchase and keep secondary quotes in a separate mental column. We do the same in the data file.
A short history note
Submariner 1953, Datejust 1945, GMT-Master 1955, Cosmograph Daytona 1963: Rolex’s own launch dates for those lines. Prices in this guide are current sourced list figures, not historical MSRPs from those years.
Questions
Are these the prices you pay in a boutique?
They are sourced US list figures from the dates shown, mostly read from rolex.com country pages. Local tax, promotions and grey-market quotes are separate. Authorised dealers generally sell at list.
Why do some Rolexes cost more on the secondary market?
Demand for certain steel sports models often exceeds boutique supply. Secondary prices are not list prices; we keep them off this table unless a dated study is cited.
Which Rolex is cheapest on this index?
Among models we track, the lowest sourced US list below is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 (126000) at $6,750 (Oct 2026).
Where can I compare by country?
See country comparison and each item’s prices-by-country section when we have the data.
