Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can. This page explains what, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data processed through luxurypriceindex.com is the publisher of LuxuryPriceIndex, based in Portugal. Contact for any privacy matter: luxurypriceidx@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Price-alert newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the optional brands you tick, the date of signup and your subscription status. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Server logs. Our host processes technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website. We do not use these logs to profile you.

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or fingerprinting, and we do not sell personal data. The site itself sets no cookies.

Processors we use

• Resend (Resend, Inc., USA): stores the newsletter list and sends alert emails on our behalf. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA): hosting and content delivery, with the same transfer safeguards.
• Google (Gmail): our contact mailbox.

Affiliate links

Some links to retailers and marketplaces may be affiliate links. When you click one, you leave our site and the retailer or its affiliate network (for example Awin, Impact, Rakuten or CJ) may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase. That processing is governed by their privacy policies and their own cookie consent. We receive only aggregated commission reports, not your identity. See our affiliate disclosure.

How long we keep it

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe; we then keep only a suppression record so we never email you again. Correspondence: up to 24 months. Hosting logs: per the host's retention, typically days to weeks.

Your rights

You may access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your data, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (every email has an unsubscribe link). Write to luxurypriceidx@gmail.com; we reply within one month. You may also complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or your local authority.

Children

The site is not aimed at people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes, and tell subscribers of material changes.
