When we get something wrong, we fix it and record it here: the date, what was wrong, what we changed and why. Entries are never deleted. Published by the LuxuryPriceIndex editorial team.
Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 split into two items
Was: One item combined the handle-only Speedy 30 (2013 onward) with its successor, the Speedy Bandoulière 30, so the page showed a rise of about 129% that compared two different bags.
Now: Two separate items: the Speedy 30 (handle-only, 2013 to April 2025) and the Speedy Bandoulière 30 (M46980, January 2022 onward). Each shows only its own prices.
We never pair the price of one model with the price of another.
Speedy 30 discontinuation date removed
Was: The Speedy 30 page said the bag was discontinued in April 2024.
Now: Removed. A dated April 2025 US price ($1,630, PurseBop) shows it was still sold after that date.
No annual growth rate for short price records
Was: Items with less than two years of sourced prices showed a compound annual rate, which overstated the trend (for example a four-month record).
Now: These items show “—” for the yearly rate and are excluded from the fastest and slowest rankings.
Dates added to every resale figure
Was: Some resale-value figures were shown without the date of the study they came from.
Now: Each resale figure shows its own date (for example, the Rebag Clair Report 2025, published December 2025). Figures resting only on blogs are labelled, and figures older than 12 months are marked as older.
