Each was downloaded (never hotlinked), cropped to 4:5 (and 1200×630 for og:image), resized and re-encoded as WebP with JPEG fallback. Derivatives of CC BY-SA originals are distributed under the same licence. Captions state where an earlier reference or related variant is shown.

## Rejected / no acceptable photo
- Removed 2026-10-16 (photo showed a different reference from the one the item tracks): Rolex Cosmograph Daytona (vintage ref. 6263, File:Cosmo.jpg), Submariner Date (pre-116610LN Submariner, File:Rolex_Submariner_Professional.JPG), GMT-Master II (16710), Datejust 41 (Datejust II 116334), Sea-Dweller (16600), Explorer 40 (114270, 36 mm) and AP Royal Oak 15510ST (15202 Jumbo). These items now show the price-line tile.
- Rolex Daytona 116500LN/126500LN: on Commons we found only "Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Panda.jpg" (uploaded 2026-10-06 by a new account; a separate 126500LN upload is labelled as a replica) and "Rolex Daytona 126500LN Panda Replica.jpg". Neither has verifiable provenance, so both are rejected.
- Rolex Submariner 116610LN: "The Real Thing (22119277278).jpg" (CC BY 2.0) is a black-and-white macro of the bezel, not a usable product photo, so it is not used.
- Hermès (Birkin, Kelly, Constance, Picotin, Evelyne, Lindy): Commons only has crocodile/ostrich/pink variants, illustrations or unverified pieces; would misrepresent Togo/Epsom/Clemence items.
- Patek Philippe Nautilus: only a manufacturer render (brand press image) and clone-seller uploads; rejected.
- Omega Seamaster 300M: only usable photo was ~225 px wide; too low resolution.
- Rolex Day-Date: only diamond-set aftermarket-style or vintage pieces; misleading vs. plain 228238.
- Rolex GMT-Master II 126710 'CC0' file and Daytona 126500LN file are replica-seller uploads; rejected.
- Chanel (except Classic Flap), Louis Vuitton, Goyard, Lady Dior, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels: no free-licensed photo of the model found (retailer-sourced uploads rejected).
- Unsplash/Pexels: search API not reachable without a key from this environment; not used.
